All of my life, I've struggled with my weight. I've tried every fad diet out there which ultimately made me gain more weight back. My life-changing revolution occurred when I learned the best way to lose weight is to eat healthy fats and give up all the carbs I thought were so healthy. Eat fat not carbs, instead of the other way around?
As crazy as that sounded, I decided to extensively research it and put it to the test. Along this fact-searching mission, I found the primal, paleo, caveman lifestyle. The basic idea is to eat what our ancestors ate 2 Million years ago or as close to it as our modern world will allow. This means our food is minimally processed and comes from healthy plants (organic), healthy animals (grass-fed, pasture-raised, wild-caught, etc.), and lots of healthy fats. It also means to stay away from most starchy foods and sugars. I was amazed to find out how much fat our ancestors ate. Probably because we were designed to eat lots of it.
I needed a healthy and portable snack that fit into my new primal eating lifestyle. There wasn't anything on the market, so I decided to make my own. I set out to create a granola without grain, dairy, refined sugars, corn, hydrogenated oils, preservatives, peanuts, or soy that tastes great too.
I'm so thankful I did. This journey and product saved my life.
